Description

A combination pen holder and mechanical pencil in sterling silver. This set consists of a hollow cylinder containing a pen holder and a mechanical pencil, which can be alternately extended by means of two sliding rings. Each ring allows either the pen holder or the mechanical pencil to be extended. The flared end of this object could be engraved, thus serving to make an impression on a hot wax seal. This one is engraved with a "G". A very fine object from the late 19th century. Length when closed: 100 mm, diameter of the barrel : 6 mm.
